The Canon 500D was just announced by Canon. It will be marketed under 3 names but they're all the same product. The Canon Rebel T1i in the United States (with a US Warranty). It will be called the Canon EOS Kiss X3 in Japan. And the rest of the world will know it as the Canon EOS 500D. We've chosen to use the 500D moniker for the website to make things easy for everyone.
